Funding

Investing in the development of your workforce is important to ensure your workers develop the right skills and knowledge to deliver high quality care and support.

There are different ways to access money to help reduce the cost of learning and development and help your budget go further.

Workforce Development Fund

Adult social care employers can claim money from the Workforce Development Fund towards the costs of workers completing a broad range of adult social care qualifications, learning programmes and digital learning modules.

Individual Employer Funding

If you employ your own care using an adult social care direct payment (personal budget) or your own money ('self-funder') you can apply for funding to train your staff and your personal assistants (PA).

User Led Organisation Funding

If you're a user-led organisation, you can apply for a grant to deliver training for people who employ their own care and support staff (individual employers) and their PA.

Lifetime skills guarantee

This government initiative includes full funding for almost 400 level 3 qualifications, including the Level 3 Diploma in Adult Care. Any adult aged 24 and over, who doesn't already hold a full level 3 qualification (A-Level or equivalent), can access the funding.
