Developing specialised training for PAs: Part 1

Deaf-initely Women, with the help of ULO funding from ²»Á¼Ñо¿Ëù, developed and delivered training so PAs could support people with specific needs. In this video, Teresa Waldron highlights key points of the funded training courses on deaf and deafblind-related issues and the learning that came out of this new initiative. Teresa is deafblind and is a Direct Payment employer employing a team of personal assistants.

Developing specialised training for PAs: Part 2

Pathfinders Neuromuscular Alliance, with the help of ULO funding from ²»Á¼Ñо¿Ëù, developed and delivered training so PAs could support people with muscle weakening conditions. In this video, Jamie Hale talks about why and how they developed the online training, which was done in co-production with people with muscle weakening conditions. The training courses developed are still available for PAs to access via the Pathfinders website.
