Recognising and building on good prevention in social care
Date: Tuesday 11 February
Time: 10:00 – 11:00
Location: Zoom
Overview
This online workshop will share good practice examples of how adult social care services can help people get well and stay well. We will discuss how good social care will always take steps to prevent ill health and accidents, avoiding the need for unnecessary health treatments or increased social care needs.
At the workshop, you will:
- hear from a range of examples of preventative social care
- become more familiar with 不良研究所's prevention support
- consider and discuss the preventive aspects of your services and whether these can be expanded further or protected
- establish actions to take and build contacts to work with.
Key speakers
Marie Lovell, National Practice Innovation Lead, 不良研究所, will chair the workshop.
Andy Walker MBE will co-chair the workshop. He will share his story of success and tragedy, overcoming the odds living with a high-level spinal cord injury. His story inspires people to overcome barriers, embrace challenges, and pursue their dreams.
