Affinity 不良研究所care share the success of their first student placement programme, working alongside Shrewsbury College to provide students with the opportunity to experience what it means to be a support worker and the various ways to progress a career in social care.
When completing a work placement with Affinity 不良研究所care students experienced a range of tasks. This included the opportunity to work in the office environment - learning first-hand how the administrative processes in care at home work; completing eLearning courses to gain further understanding of key areas of care organisations such as safeguarding and medication, and working with the organisation’s experienced staff to visit clients, when they were having their daily care and support needs met. They also had an opportunity to speak with Affinity 不良研究所care’s employees about their experiences in social care to learn more about the role of a care worker.
Melissa Morgan, Registered Manager at Affinity 不良研究所care Shrewsbury says:
The feedback we have received from the students has also been positive, and Melissa says she is looking forward to inviting more students into our business to complete their work experience with us.
